I’ve included a smaller photo of my nails in the corner so that yall can kinda-sorta see the gradient effect a little better. And yes, One Less Lonely Glitter is from Justin Bieber’s nail polish line, lol. It’s actually really great! It goes on smoothly, and the glitter is cool cuz you get it in big and small pieces. I absolutely recommend it (the OPI shade here is also great, and totally one of my faves).

I decided to try out this Katy Perry-inspired sprinkles manicure. I bake quite a lot, so I’ve been craving this mani ever since I first saw it on Katy’s fingers! To achieve this look, all I did was paint my nails with two coats of Snow White, sprinkle my fingers with actual sprinkles (I used Wal-Mart brand sprinkles, so it’s not like it matters what sprinkles you use), and then cover the design with two coats of Seche Vite top coat. Seche Vite is the best top coat I’ve ever used, so it’s definitely what I’d recommend for sealing in this design.
I love how it turned out, but it’s definitely only meant to last about one or two days. I just got done washing my hair with this mani, and while the sprinkles did stay attached to my fingers (I’ve decided this is because Seche Vite is intense and awesome—I’ve purposely been rough with my nails to see how they’d hold up, and not a single sprinkle has fallen off!), I guess unless you totally pile on the top coat to seal this in, water will leak in through the cracks and wash out the colors on the sprinkles!
The good thing is this mani is incredibly forgiving of mistakes. You really can’t see much of the Snow White base color through all the sprinkles, but the reason I use a white base color is because the bits of it that peek out around the edges aren’t that noticeable since most rainbow sprinkles include white sprinkles.
I think I’d definitely do this design again for a party or something. Even though the wear is so short, it looks so unique! What do yall think?
